The Royal Wedding a couple weeks back was a change, for some, to show off their choices of style to the world.One of the most noticed outfits of the wedding was Princess Beatrice's large hat that most have dubbed to resemble a pretzel, an octopus, and to some, a toilet seat.
With much talk and notice, Princess Beatrice sold the hat recently on Ebay for 132,000 dollars. That is a lot of money to spend on a hat... The hat was designed by Phillip Treacy.
Princess Beatrice donated the money to UNICEF and the British charity, Children in Crisis.
"Its great to see the turn out and attention the hat has brought. Its also great to use the attention of it to donate to a charity," Beatrice stated.
The stand-out shape of the hat even inspired a facebook group to form. In my opinion, if just wearing a hat can make 132,000 dollars, then more famous people should wear hats.
