Britney Spears is Back... Again
Britney has even performed some of the songs at a surprise concert in Las Vegas, and another on Good Morning America. The performances have hyped up many fans for the new album. Fans are also hyped up by the announcement of her new tour with Enrique Iglesias. One small problem with this, Enrique will not be going on tour with Brit.
Britney made a good choice picking Enrique ( who has just made a comeback) to help her continue to gain fans and step back into her role as the pop princess. Enrique's publicist stated ,"Despite initial reports based on formal discussions of the possible run, Enrique will continue on his solo tour in support of his new album Euphoria. Enrique has great respect for Britney and is a longtime fan of her work. He is very sorry for the confusion this might have caused to anyone."
I'm sorry to say that even though her album is ranked as #1 on the Itunes hottest album list, her comeback as an icon is not looking very promising. I just hope that this time there aren't any more custody battles and her hair stays intact.
Drunk, Uninvited, and Kicked Out.
Birthdays are all fun and games; well it was until Adam Lambert showed up. Lady Gaga, the newly twenty-five year old's party was crashed by the uninvited Lambert on Sunday. One would think these two would be friends with their outspoken personalities and since Gaga even gave Lambert the "perfect song". She once said he was funny, but she probably won't be thinking too highly of the drunken party crasher anymore.
Lambert's love for Gaga seemed to have gone too far, for his celebrating styles caused his more pain than love. Lambert's fist pumps made a hole in wall, I just wished he knew that fist pumping is usually done in the air, oh wait, his judgment was impaired. Lambert took it to next level when he tried to smear cake on Gaga's face and tried to put a doll into her mouth, but then Gaga's tolerance could take no more when he started to "serenade". Therefore doing what any sensible person would with a drunken party crasher, called security.
Maybe Lambert was just too showy.

Government Shutdown - What about Congress?
The next big question is about that Senates' new proposal, which will halt Congress member's paychecks if a shutdown does ensue. This is a very admirable merit of our government and should be praised, but the chances of it being passed is highly unlikely, since opposition from the House of Representatives are much higher. This may be due to the fact that Senators make much more than newly appointed House members. Senators have a much more comfortable net worth of 2.4 million dollars compared to a House member whose median net worth is approximately 732,000 dollars (in 2009). Either way, it is still a "comfortable" number, except if you have six kids, student loans, and a mortgage to worry about, like new House member, Sean Duffy.
The Congress is too "essential" for a shutdown, therefore while non-"essential" employees may possibly have to worry about their much more thinly line pockets, the bill, which was unanimously passed by the Senate will most likely not go through House.
Therefore let's see what happens with our government on the fateful day of April 8th.

Lindsay Lohan Loses More Than Her Sanity
Most people begin a fresh start with changing something about their appearance. For example, many people get an entirely new haircut, new clothes, or new choices in makeup. But for Lindsay Lohan, this just wasn't enough.
Lindsay has decided to drop her last name (just like Cher, Beyonce, and Madonna) to give herself a fresh start.
I'm sorry Lindsay, but after the multiple rehabs and the felony grand theft charge, I don't think that changing your name to just Lindsay will do you much good. She is technically a big enough star to be recognized by her first name, but she disgraces the other stars who share the first name trend.
If Lindsay does improve her habits and restarts her careers I might be proven wrong, but dropping the Lohan name will virtually do nothing for Lindsay except for put her on the news for a mere 5 more minutes of fame.

Bret Michaels: Trooper to Suer
Bret Michaels, the lead singer of band Poison, performed at the 2009 Tony Awards show, which he now claims is the cause of his brain hemorrhage. His injury at the Tony Awards resulted from a part of the set lowering to quickly, causing him to fall down. At that time it was reported that he received a fractured nose and three stitches for his lip, nothing about any possible head trauma. He even claimed that he would hit up some after parties after getting an x-ray, showing his strong self. But what seemed to be a strong trooper in the past, decided to sue CBS and Tony Awards for his almost fatal brain hemorrhage.
Michaels was then diagnosed with a brain hemorrhage six months after the fatal blow to his head, but shouldn't he have sued them then and not now? It would make more sense for him to sue CBS and the Tony Awards when his subarachnoid hemorrhage occurred, in 2010, not in 2011.
Time gap between the incidents and the suing is strange enough but now after riding the coattails of surviving and being alive, he decides to sue.

Mediaocre Song of the Week: Please, Turn it Down
Kim Kardashian has now joined in with the many reality stars who have dabbled in the art of singing. Her new single "Jam(Turn it Up)" premiered on On Air with Ryan Seacrest on March 2, 2011 and was also premiered on itunes that day.
The song is completely pointless. Kim, although not the best of singers anyway, has no emotion in singing the song at all, or at least it seems to be that way. Also, the lyrics are the same as many other pop songs of this era, about partying, and asking the DJ to turn the music up. There is nothing distinguishing Kim from any other pop start except for her voice. I also have no clue as to why there is gibberish in the beginning and sometimes throughout the song.
There is also one thing i noticed. Kim strangely sounds like Hillary Duff when she was 16 years old on her album "Metamorphosis". Hillary Duff was good, but only for her age. Kim being 30 years old should amount to be just a little more than 16, especially with all of the mention of alcohol in the song.
The one part i do admire about this song, is that proceeds are going to the St Jude Children's Research Hospital. As much as i am not a fan of this song, I do have respect for Kim, especially knowing where the proceeds are going.

Chris Brown "Strikes" Again
After an interview with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America, Brown was provoked into another "out burst" after being asked questions involving past attack on Rhianna. He allegedly threw a chair at a window in his dressing room after the taping of the interview. Following this, he then threatened a producer of the show.
At least windows can't file law suits...or feel pain, which is a step towards improvement I guess. Although, if Chris wants to keep his record clean, and sell more music, he may want to invest in a punching bag.

Is Charlie Sheen a Winner?
In the end Sheen's contract was terminated, but instead of leaving peacefully, he sued the producers for $100 million, according to People magazine.
Dr. Drew Pinsky from VH1's Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew says that in order for him to get his life back in order he needs to go to rehab. Many other people see his situation the same way; however, some see his story as humorous.
"Charlie Sheen is a winner," says Kiernan sarcastically, a high school junior from upstate New York, "he makes me laugh every time I see him."
